About

We will use snowshoes or nature skis to walk through the forest. The beautiful conifer trees covered in snow remind us of foreign countries, and these rich forests remind us of the passage of time. We will follow in the footsteps of plants and animals that are trying their best to survive the harsh cold and enjoy a tea time along the way. During tea, you will enjoy the quietness of the forest. Itinerary

Half-day (2 hours) tours: Two tours are available from 9:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. (Your preferred time may also be available). Sample itinerary: 08:45 Meet at Kawayu Visitor Center and register 09:00 Arrival in the field 11:00 Tour finish

Requirements

From beginners up. This experience is appropriate for first-timers in the mountain snow.

Equipment

What to bring: ・ Waterproof clothing ・ Base layer of synthetic fiber or wool (not cotton) ・ Fleece ・ Down or synthetic fiber insulation ・ Winter gloves x 2 (including spare) ・ 2 pairs of socks (for fitting boots) ・ Balaclavas, neck warmers, etc. ・ Hat (beanie, etc.) ・ Sunglasses ・ Backpack (about 30L) ・ Insulated bottle (hot drink) ・ Other (food, camera, sunscreen, etc.) Rental items: ・ Snowshoes or nature skis (please select gear at time of reservation) ・ Snow boots or ski boots ・ Snow poles ・ Backpack * Rental items are included in the price. Please consult with us in advance regarding the use of these items.
