Mountain Guides & Marine Activities PACIFIC RIM SPORTS Representative

Bio

Born and rise in Yokosuka Kanagawa, Japan in 1971, I have been ocean and mountain guide for over 20 years in Japan. My personal original experience is based on the abundant outdoor experiences I had as a child playing around in the backyard. I also challenged myself with various outdoor activities in my 20's, I was inspired from many people who made outdoor activities their lifestyle and had the opportunity to experience various ways of thinking. I decided to become a guide because I wanted to share what I felt and was moved by in the field with as many people as possible.

Outdoor sports bring time and experiences that cannot be obtained in everyday life by enlivening the senses in the richness of extraordinary nature. The importance of the wild power and sensitivity that humans inherently possess is universal, no matter how much the times change, and the accumulation of what we experience and feel in the field brings great richness to our individual lifestyles. We will support you to safely experience extraordinary time and space through outdoor activities. We provide everything from guide services to expedition tour planning and operation, outdoor education and leadership training, outdoor schools for children to the promotion of outdoor sports as a lifelong sport for seniors.

Guide Q&A

Q: What is your most memorable experience in nature?

Being able to feel the instinctive wildness within you.

Q: What does nature represent to you?

Nature is itself, including the environment.

Q: What has nature taught you?

To be in awe of something.

Q: What do you hope that people will get out of experiences with you as a guide?

We hope that people will feel the instinctive wildness that lies dormant in themselves and recover their physicality, which is being lost in today's safe, scheduled society. I believe that sensitivity and communication through the body are the most important things in the coming age.
