NARUSE CLIMBING SCHOOL, a climbing and sketching art school that offers a panoramic view of Mount Kasagi in Gifu Prefecture
From a young age, Yohei developed a fondness for mountaineering and embarked on freestyle climbing during his high school years. Alongside this passion, he independently studied watercolor painting and began working as a freelance illustrator at the age of 26. Returning to his hometown in Gifu Prefecture at the age of 28, Yohei became actively involved in the development of the Kasagi Mountain climbing area. In 2017, he obtained the Sports Instructor certification from the Japan Mountain Guides Association, marking the beginning of his own climbing school.

One unique aspect of my approach is my expertise and specialization in freestyle climbing, ranging from bouldering to crack climbing. I am passionate about tailoring my instructions to small groups based on their individual skill levels, ensuring a personalized and attentive experience. With the Kasagi Mountain climbing area as my home turf, with many newly developed routes and first ascents, I offer a truly unique and immersive experience akin to exploring my own backyard. I aim to cater to individuals who are seeking a challenging and fulfilling climbing adventure while receiving tailored guidance and instruction.
