Guide Q&A

Q: What is your most memorable experience in nature?

I have too many memorable experiences to narrow down to just one, so let’s talk about them when we meet!

Q: What does nature represent to you?

For me, the ocean is a place where I can return to myself, a mirror that shows me all my weak and strong selves.

Q: What has nature taught you?

Because the ocean is an environment in which humans cannot live, being in the ocean makes us realize how small we are. And by connecting with the ocean, we feel that we are part of this earth, which makes us feel very safe. The world in the ocean always shows us that living creatures are living according to the flow of the earth. I hope that we can also live our lives while staying close to the earth like that.

Q: What do you hope that people will get out of experiences with you as a guide?

We can see the beauty of the ocean on TV, on the Internet, and in aquariums, but I believe that we can have an even more wonderful experience when we go into the ocean ourselves. The flow of the water, the light, the water pressure, the sound. I would like you to feel the ocean not by thinking about it, but by using all of your five senses.
