Bio

Ryo is a true Okinawan, known as an "Uchinanchu." He went to university in Kochi Prefecture and became captivated by the true allure of the ocean, which led him to start engaging in various marine activities. During his undergraduate and graduate studies, Ryo spent his days kayaking through places like the Philippines, Shikoku, and the Southwest Islands. In the summer of his graduation year, he embarked on a kayaking journey from the Satsuma Peninsula to his hometown, Okinawa Island. Afterward, Ryo dedicated six years to training as a sea kayak guide in the Yaeyama Islands before establishing his own business on Okinawa Island in 2020. Currently, Ryo is also involved as a member of "Tabineshia," a group that undertakes long-term expeditions such as island crossings.

Message

I primarily guide in the northern part of Okinawa Island, which includes the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Yanbaru. My tours cater to a diverse range of participants, from beginners who can enjoy the calm areas within the reefs to experienced individuals who prefer offshore adventures or island-crossing tours. Personally, I highly recommend our one-day tours and camping tours, which provide opportunities to deeply immerse oneself in nature and have a truly enriching experience.
