Itinerary
Your guide will propose an itinerary according to your wishes and the season.
Example itinerary:
Two day tour: Fishing mountain streams, such as those around Daisetsuzan and the Hidaka Mountains.
Day 1: We will go to the deep green streams of the Ishikari River system to target large Ezo iwana (trout) with large dry flies. After fishing, we will go to the campsite, stopping at a nearby hot spring if there is one.
At camp, large shelters and dining tents are already set up, but guests are responsible for setting up their own tents and bedding, which are available for rent. Dinner will be a charcoal barbecue of Ezo venison steaks and Tokachi beef caught in the winter in the mountain forests. Fishing discussions will be held around the campfire. In the evening, we will chat over a slideshow of photos and videos of the day's fishing scenes.
Day 2: After a breakfast of salad and hot sandwiches, we will move to the upper reaches of tributaries in the Tokachi region. Guidance with lectures on specific fly-fishing techniques. Guiding will be tailored to guests' skills, including seasonal fly trends and matching fishing techniques. We can fish for rainbow trout, American trout, landlocked salmon, Oshorokoma, etc. according to guests’ requests. There are many rivers near the campsite. Some are in the forest, some are open plain streams, and some flow at the foot of snow-capped mountains. In the summer, fishing will be mainly in the mountains, where the water temperature is cooler.
