Bio
Hiromitsu is an experienced surfer who has had a rich life, and he is also a family man who enjoys music, skateboarding, and living in the countryside. Hiromitsu opened his own home and a spectacular camping site, and completed the skateboard-exclusive bowl called "TMB" in 2021. At the age of 51, he decided to pursue bowl skating seriously and now wants to share the appeal of it by offering coaching primarily for beginners.
Message
One of the most memorable experiences for me was the evacuation I underwent on a bicycle from Iwaki Station in Fukushima Prefecture to Takahagi Station in Ibaraki Prefecture, taking nine hours, due to the fear of exposure to radioactive materials following the devastating earthquake and tsunami of the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11th. This firsthand experience of a natural disaster and exposure to the nuclear accident at the destroyed Fukushima Daiichi Power Plant made me keenly aware of the need to acquire skills that would be useful in times of crisis. Currently, I am planning and selling a superfood supplement called "tegemocos," which serves as an emergency food source for both the operation of my campsite and my own family's stockpile. I believe that by becoming familiar with camping, many people can adapt to survival situations and gain the skills necessary to endure. At the same time, I am aware that every individual is living 100% towards their eventual death, and I strive to live each day in the present moment, which is the center of the miracles between the past and the future, without being bound by either. I believe it is important to live the "now" in its essence and enrich our lives. I hope that everyone can gain various realizations and insights from their own experiences.

Q: What is your most memorable experience in nature?
When I visited the island of Kauai, I saw a group of famous big wave surfers riding 25-foot waves on the North Shore. I also wanted to surf myself, but I didn't have a board. Then, I met a childhood friend who loves Kauai and surfing. Together, we managed to repair a board and mustered up the courage to paddle out. As I paddled out, I witnessed world-renowned surfers like Andy Irons and Sunny Garcia riding alongside me. Although I was overcome with great fear, I somehow managed to catch a wave. The Hawaiian locals who saw me cheered and applauded, and I felt a sense of pride. Looking up at the sky, I was filled with gratitude for being able to return safely. This day's experience became the most memorable natural encounter for me.
