Tokyo, Japan – Kammui Inc. (Kammui), a Japanese travel platform specializing in premium experiences combining nature and culture, has partnered with RANGE ROVER to launch RANGE ROVER JOURNEY, a collection of curated itineraries designed to integrate luxury automotive travel with Japan’s regional heritage.
Kammui led the development and curation of three inaugural itineraries in Ise, Hakone, and Niseko. Beyond experience design, the company produced promotional content to promote the partnership and will act as the operational coordinator for all bookings. Throughout each journey, guests travel in chauffeured RANGE ROVER vehicles.
The Ise Journey: Satoumi and Spirituality
One of the signature experiences curated for Range Rover is the Ise Journey, an experience which explores the concept of Satoumi—the traditional balance between coastal communities and the sea.
Kammui’s curation for this route includes:
Ise Grand Shrine: Private, guided access to the spiritual center of Shinto tradition.
Nikenjaya: An exclusive visit to a traditional confectionery maker that has served pilgrims for over four centuries.
COVA KAKUDA: Accommodation at an intimate four-room retreat immersed in the natural landscapes of the Ise-Shima coast, converted from a former pearl farm to emphasize local conservation.

Kammui had originally been invited by the region to help advise on how to develop luxury experiences and took this opportunity to launch the Ise Journey with RANGE ROVER to help elevate and set a new standard for luxury tourism in this region.
The promotional campaign for the partnership features accomplished husband and wife duo, architect Makoto Tanijiri and culinary artist Naoko Tanijiri, enjoying the Ise Journey.
Makoto Tanijiri, co-founder of Suppose Design Office, is recognized for his contemporary approach to spatial design. His recent portfolio includes leading the architectural design for NOT A HOTEL’s property in Minakami, Gunma Prefecture.
Naoko Tanijiri is the owner-chef and director of HITOTEMA. Rooted in the principles of modern Japanese home cooking, her work spans a diverse range of projects, including the integration of heritage flavors with contemporary hospitality.

Strategy and Operations
The partnership combines Kammui’s logistical framework and local expertise with Range Rover’s mobility and brand ecosystem. This model allows for a seamless integration of high-end automotive transport and insider-access cultural travel.
“We believe Japan offers some of the most inspiring and layered experiences in the world - where spirituality, gastronomy and culture intersect in ways that are both traditional and cutting edge,” says Max Mackee, Founder of Kammui. “We are excited to be partnering with Range Rover to craft a series of journeys to showcase the authentic spirit of Japan through thoughtful and precise curation.”
